About Me

I'm Jess, a Master's student in Human-Centered Design & Engineering (HCDE) at the University of Washington. I'm a UX Researcher by day at Workiva, and a cat lady by night.

Before diving into research, I got my 'professional' start in the high-pressure world of restaurants—working front of house at award winning taquerias and Michelin-starred fine-dining institutions.

Beyond Work

    I’m in the gym at least four days a week or playing mermaid (I started swimming competitvely in 3rd grade!) I'm a proud 'cat mom' to Juice and Onion, who (unsuccessfully) try to help me with my research and a recent newlywed to Josiah who tries to (unsuccessfully) fold our laundry.
